About St. Vincent Health Center
Founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph in 1875 as Erie's first hospital, Saint Vincent Health Center is a 425-bed tertiary care and teaching center with approximately 3,000 employees and nearly 300 physicians. The Health Center offers a full range of hospital and health care services to residents of the tri-state region. In addition to HealthGrades, Saint Vincent's strong commitment to clinical quality, advances in technology and high levels of patient satisfaction have also earned it national recognition as a health care quality leader by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations, and the American Hospital Association.
