About Clarinda Regional Health Center
The Clarinda “Municipal Hospital” opened its doors to the public on September 12, 1939. In 1997 the name of the facility was changed to the Clarinda Regional Health Center (CRHC), in order to more accurately reflect the function of the facility and the area it serves. In January 2012, the Clarinda Regional Health Center and Clarinda Medical Associates moved into a new, state-of-the-art hospital and clinic facility. The new facility provides adequate space and more functionality for a higher level of outpatient services, ability to address complex emergency needs, to accommodate patients' privacy, to accommodate a system-wide electronic medical record, surgical suites and recovery suites with the latest advances, and so much more to make for a positive healing environment for patients.
Two rural clinics are operated by CRHC. One in Bedford, Iowa, which is staffed one morning a week and another in Villisca, Iowa, which is staffed five days and one evening per week.
The service area of CRHC offers unmatched professional opportunity. We currently have a general surgeon, five family practice physicians, one internal medicine physician and two nurse practitioners on staff to service an area of 15,000 residents. Our primary service area includes central and eastern Page and western and central Taylor counties, portions of Montgomery and Adams counties in Iowa, as well as several communities in NW Missouri.
